PAYMILL continued to grow with Klik & Pay mother company CYBERservices SA as a new partner. In 2017, the Munich-based online payment service provider has gained some very interesting new customers with the new payment method SOFORT and other services. PAYMILL team proudly looks back on a succesfull year.
One and a half years after the acquisiton by the FinTech company CYBERservices, better known as Klik & Pay, PAYMILL GmbH is better than ever. The teams and processes in Switzerland and Germany have grown together strongly. The move of the Munich-based payment service provider in the new office has also contributed to this.
New features and payment methods
A significant step forward is the new payment method SOFORT, which guarantees the payment order and therefore significantly accelerates the delivery of goods and services in online trading.
Good news for online retailers and their customers is that SEPA Direct Debit is now available in all EU countries.
Other new features include:
- A new invoicing service for faster and more reliable invoicing
- Integration of an invoice settlement section in the Merchant Centre to help customers manage and verify their online inovices
- Improved security measures such as effective protection against Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS).
Numerous awards and interesting customers
With more than 120 blog posts featuring tips on sales, marketing, compliance, security and legal issues in e-commerce in German and English as well as 47 publications in dedicated media, PAYMILL 2017 has been awarded with an important Blog Award.
PAYMILL itself selected seven of its customers as Merchant of the Month last year:
- Codeable
- Ballardier Watches

- Lootchest
PAYMILL has again won a number of very interesting customers. Among the highlights are certainly two participants of the VOX founder show “Die Höhle der Löwen”:
“Die Höhle der Löwen” winners choose PAYMILL
The travel blog platform FindPenguins was “huge surprise” in the broadcast on 24 August 2016, according to VOX . The founder Tobias Riedle could convince the “event guru” Jochen Schweizer, who offered him 200,000 euros for 50 percent of the shares.
Rafy Ahmed, born in Pakistan, created a veritable competition between Dagmar Wöhrl and Ralf Dümmel with his young sports label “MOROTAI” on October 18, 2017. Mrs. Wöhrl has finally made the race with 100,000 euros for 20 percent of the shares and with the fashion houses of her husband and son (Wöhrl, Wormland and Ludwig Beck in Munich).
More international profile
With Oceantrips.com, a Dutch platform for arranging sailing tours in the Caribbean, PAYMILL has also gained international profile.
Independently of this, PAYMILL has long been an international payment gateway, enabling customers to accept payments worldwide, with a wide range of payment methods via credit or debit cards, PayPal, SEPA direct debit and SOFORT. If needed, online retailers can also add local credit card organizations such as Japan Credit Bureau JBC and Dankort (Denmark).
Improvements in customer service and onboarding
With the help of CYBERservices, PAYMILL has been able to drive a number of investments in 2017 to deliver faster, better customer service and process optimization. For example, the IT systems were migrated to the service cloud with Risk Cloud and Chargeback Cloud. Added to this is the restructuring of the onboarding processes as well as the transfer of customer data to the group of companies.
During this time, the Client services team invested a lot of time to take of the customers questions and needs. The response time of less than 30 seconds on average speaks for itself. In the first eleven months of the year, more than 15,000 tickets and 8,000 incoming calls were processed with inquiries from new and existing customers.
Investment in more staff
In order to be prepared for the new challenges, PAYMILL has also invested in strengthening the workforce: The IT team has been expanded by a Linux administrator and two developers, and the compliance team by two more analysts. The same applies to the Client Services area, which was supplemented by a Business Development Manager.
“The acquisition of PAYMILL almost one and a half years ago proved to be the right one. We achieved a lot in 2017 and also invested a lot.. As often as time permits, I am joining the young team in Munich. This surprises with many fresh ideas that benefit the whole group. That’s why I’m sure that we will continue to grow well together in 2018 and beyond, “said Daniel P. Georges, CEO, who founded the CYBERservices group in 2000 with his wife Marie-Hélène Georges. In the capacity he is managing director of Klik & Pay and PAYMILL.
The PAYMILL team would like to thank you and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
